DANCE
In our society this primeval, joyful and essential cultural practice has been repressed and distorted by capitalism into competition and commodity. Even activists in this socially conservative region scorn dance. In this context, public community dance is a RADICAL ACT. Every Tuesday KSAMB Dance Co. brings dance to the plaza of power and memorial to war, Saskatoon City Hall Square. Because of proximity to the public library and the bus mall, it is also a refuge for the economically oppressed. We invite all to join us, and dance how you please, or not. Dancing keeps us warm.
