Sunday Just Dance
Picture
An opportunity to move in an accepting and nonjudgmental, COVID-19 responsible environment on Sundays.

Every Sunday from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. Optimist Park, near Ave K and 18 St.

Suggested $5 donation to help cover expenses. Preferably by e-transfer to ksambdance@gmail.com, or cash at each session.

We curate a varied playlist of music, or sometimes we dance in silence. Occasionally we invite live musicians. No conversation, please.

A gathering of no more than 10, in compliance with provincial government pandemic measures. Minimum distance of 2 metres between households. Current regulations do not require masks outdoors. We encourage personal protective practices.

All skill levels, body types, genders and ages are welcome, though children should be supervised.

Participants move in the way they prefer. For some, it is an experience of meditative or ecstatic dance, for others a joyous cardio workout, or just an opportunity to stretch and to get the mind and body moving. We move, or witness, chatting is reserved for before and after. We often hold a short, optional, physically distanced closing circle.
