"I fully support the event, Carte Blanche. It was all fantastic. It was the best entertainment in the whole area. The bridge light show was awesome too. You can't have good art without breaking a few eggs, ha, controversy is what makes it eventfully. The Troup (KSAMB) did an awesome job."

"Andy and I attended a KSAMB dance show called ‘Pumphouse Groove’ and really enjoyed it. It was thoughtful and unique, sometimes funny, often surprising, and just a great way to spend 45 minutes. The pumphouse is such a neat venue too."

“I have been experiencing lots of challenges and ups and downs since I came to Canada. I am indeed in the journey of finding an answer to the question I am trying to answer here: "Who am  I?" In this difficult but exciting journey, I found something that saved my life: Dance Improvisation! It has been teaching me how to be okay in a chaotic meaningless condition, how to tolerate the feeling of uncertainty in a liminal situation, how to make a decision in a state of limbo, and how to feel the sense of collective connectedness and harmony even as an chaotic individual! I have been learning how to embrace chaos and let it create wonderful stories, to "let the stories breath!" (borrowed from the book "Letting the Stories Breathe” by Arthur Frank)
Now, my life saving hobby is dancing outside in the wild cold whether of Saskatoon, and improvising with the wind, sunshine, clouds, trees, and sparkly SNOW! I am dancing to celebrate the "pains and glories" of life (borrowed from the name of the movie "Pain and Glory" by "Pedro Almodóvar”).”

“Thanks for all that you're doing out there! Mmmmmm So good! I've found myself internally writing all weekend about my experience watching your production Friday night…
So, here are my thoughts from your show… I felt transfixed the moment I arrived (while you were still prepping). The whole show had an organic feel to it. I loved the theme of "What's in focus? Tracking attention in performance!" - I felt it drew the audience in in more ways than one. I loved the moments of pause and the moments of activity - even the tiny bits of chaos thrown in here and there. So many great moments: duets, lead characters, supporting characters, chorus. The use of the light & the chunk of snow and the mask-less moments too - so effective!”

“I am familiar with Chaos theory.  I see it  aligned with Complexity theory. I found that physical participation while observing the actors was therapeutic at some sub-conscious level  for those who expose themselves to and perceive much information about the world they inhabit . The body feels the earth's pain.  It feels the suffering of other living things and people.  Free form spontaneous movement enables the mind to create order and to expunge the tension one absorbs into one's body and spirit.”
