​Rawda Shawkat, artist, designer and dancer

So passionate about dance and performing, it makes me feel complete. I only feel myself while dancing/moving my body, as it’s the only thing that I feel like expressing myself freely and deeply.

-Been dancing & performing since the age of four.
-Ballet, Jazz, egyptian folklore, modern and contemporary dance with a background of Gymnastics. 
-Stopped dancing/moving between the age 12-20 then got back to it. 
-Graduated from the German University in Cairo, 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Sciences majoring in product design. 
-Founder of Paletta.eg; initiative creates furniture and home accessories from up cycled and recycled materials.
-Works in furniture and interior design/styling
-Creates illustrations, posters and paintings
